Meet the Panel:

Panelists

Chris MacDonald PhD, teaches ethics and critical thinking at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he is Director of the Ted Rogers MBA Program, as well as of the Ted Rogers Leadership Centre. A philosopher by training, he has published widely on business ethics, corporate social responsibility, professional ethics, healthcare ethics, and philosophical ethical theory. MacDonald is an award-winning instructor, and the co-author of two prominent textbooks. He has twice been asked to testify before the Parliament of Canada on ethical issues, and has served as an expert witness in commercial arbitration. Over the years, he has been called one of the “100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics,” by Ethisphere Magazine, and one of the “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behaviour” by Trust Across America. MacDonald is also co-author of the Concise Encyclopedia of Business Ethics and founding co-editor of the Business Ethics Journal Review, both of which are free resources available to students, scholars, and professionals.

Keith Major is Managing Partner for BentallGreenOak, based in Toronto.  Keith spends the much of his time is focused value add/challenging assets along with the execution of BGO’s strategies to shift our portfolio towards meeting our Net Zero targets, where his deep expertise in repositioning and construction management are leveraged.

Previously, he was responsible for the overall property management and leasing for office, retail, industrial and residential across Canada.  As part of the overall accountability for the real estate management in Canada, Keith has extended his expertise to our third party clients, who are commonly focused on value add which has successfully growing the third party management component of our business from 21MM square feet ($6.5B) to over 30.8MM square feet ($8.4B) in assets under management since 2018.

Keith has 40 years of experience in commercial real estate operations and management and joined the firm in 2000. Previously employed by Manulife Real Estate and worked in the Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto markets where Keith was responsible for major repositionings including Manulife Centre, foreclosed properties, development of a number of projects, and the asset management of third-party managed properties.

Keith is an honors graduate of the urban land economics program through the University of British Columbia. He holds the professional designation of Certified Property Manager and is a member of the Real Estate Institute of Canada and the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Janice Myers, Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Real Estate Association, is a leader in Canadian real estate with more than two decades of experience in governance, program development, fundraising and membership recruitment. Before becoming the CEO of the Canadian Real Estate Association in January 2024, Janice was the CEO of the Ottawa Real Estate Board and had served as the Executive Director of the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board. Janice is committed to furthering CREA’s federal advocacy efforts, providing REALTORS® with technology and tools they need to succeed, and continuing the success of REALTOR.ca. Her dedication to broader causes is reflected in her current role as Vice Chair of World Animal Protection Canada.

Don Inouye With over 25 years of experience as a senior executive, Don has dedicated his career to founding, building, and leading organizations through transformative journeys. His passion lies in professional and business development, and he’s had the privilege of advising leaders and boards of charities and non-profit organizations to better serve communities and individuals.
