On May 6th, the Ethics Centre hosted an online panel discussion on ethical issues facing the healthcare sector as the system recovers and evolves in the wake of COVID-19. The discussion will highlight ethical challenges impacting healthcare professionals as a post-pandemic world emerges, as well as the decisions managers within the healthcare system are facing as they deal with ongoing priority issues presented by the pandemic.
With an introduction by Dr. Chris MacDonald, Chair of the Department of Law and Business at the Ted Rogers School of Management, and moderated by Dr. Nancy Walton, Associate Dean, Student Affairs at the Yeates School of Graduate Studies at Ryerson University, the panel included:
-Julia Hanigsberg – President and CEO at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital
-John Yip – President and CEO at Kensington Health
-Maureen M. Charlebois – Chief Nursing & Clinical Officer at Bayshore Healthcare
